Any and all genres. Mainly I'm looking for how the underdog pulls even with the antagonist for the final battle. Second act stuff.

Here's my list so far:

Die Hard - just watched it again last night. McClane is one against 12 men with superior firepower, but as he kills them off, he acquires their weapons. Even so, Hans the antagonist gains more and more information about him, exploiting it to keep knocking him back - finding out he has bare feet, and then shooting out the glass; discovering his wife; etc.

October Sky
Babe
Rocky
Karate Kid
12 Angry Men
Mr. Smith Goes To Washington
Miracle on 34th Street
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Underdog or over whelming odds?

Kinda different things.

David is an underdog to Goliath.

Mclane is a formidable cop.

Looks like Katniss Everdeen in Hunger Games is going to be one of those characters.

Can't wait till the movie opens - 3.23 - I believe.

Yes, John is a ubercop, but he's still one guy out of his element with a single handgun at the beginning of the movie.

Yeah, I guess I'm looking for both of those kinds of movies. Not so much the lonesome loser type,  like I imagine Ryan and the Real Girl to be. And, yes, I'm waiting for the Hunger Games, too. I wanted to read the books before, but I never got to it. Too many other books to read.
