Dennis Doud, Headwaters Wordsmithing
Screenwriter
Profile
About
Dennis was born in the same hospital as John Wayne, living his entire childhood in Iowa until leaving for higher education.
After graduating from LeTourneau College in Longview, Texas, he returned home to the Hawkeye State.
He left Iowa again to chase down his almost-a-wife who had taken a job in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. It's called "God's Country" and it has been truly that to Dennis, his bride of 46 years, and their kids, who have now gone out into the world.
Dennis has enjoyed reading and writing since elementary school and, to this day, still barely tolerates arithmetic.
He has written various stories and articles and is now writing Christian faith-based screenplays and a 'Tweener home-school adventure book while sporadically scribbling online observations and ruminations.
Headwaters Wordsmithing's goal is to write coke'n'popcorn parables where the audience can laugh without guilt, be vicariously heroic and brave, and find something to take with them after the story's over.
