Happy Thanksgiving from the TSA!

ree

Greetings, fellow storytellers!

As we celebrate with friends and family over the next few days, I just wanted to say how thankful I am for all the amazing people I got to meet and work with since this time last year.

Aside from another year of membership growth, we are seeing more enthusiasm about the TSA and the craft of screenwriting in general as the industry continues to change and transform.

I’m thankful for the nearly 100 writers who participated in some way in our new Script School program, which officially ends on Dec. 8 when students turn in their “final exam” (first draft).

I’m thankful for all of the entries in our three members-only script contests this year and that according to our judges, the quality of submissions is improving.

I’m thankful for all the high-profile industry pros who agreed to do seminars and workshops for us via our Study Hall sessions in 2025 and at the week-long Script-Com Screenwriters Conference. In the “real world,” you would have to pay big bucks to Stage 32, ISA, or the Austin Film Festival to get access to some of these folks, but TSA Members get access as part of their membership.

I am especially thankful for my fellow TSA Board Members. All of them volunteered their time and energy throughout the year to help us grow the organization and its programs, along with many other Member volunteers who helped out in some way to make TSA a vibrant organization.

I hope you spend this Thanksgiving thinking about all that you are grateful for and how you can channel that gratitude and goodwill into your writing in 2026! Enjoy your holiday and we’ll see you again soon!

If you’re not already a member of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association, take the leap and join today so we can do even more to help screenwriters and filmmakers tell their stories in 2026!

Best regards,

Mark Naccarato

President, Tennessee Screenwriting Association
