The historic war drama The Legend of Van Dorn, produced by TSA member Alan McKenna, is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
Alan was the line producer on the film alongside producers Alan Dysert and Brad Wilson, director Shane Stanley, and screenwriter Lee Wilson, among others. The film was shot in locations across Middle Tennessee with local cast and crew and stars Wilson, D.B. Sweeney, Ellie Patrikios and Joe Lando. The logline:
General Earl Van Dorn seeks redemption through a daring military comeback during the Civil War but as his bold tactics win battles, a dangerous affair with a married woman and her jealous husband's vengeance threaten to destroy him.
Alan is a former president and officer of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association and has produced multiple feature films including The Odds and Gates of Flesh by the TSA's Bob Giordano as well as the award-winning short Life On Planet Earth by TSA member Sarah Marie Smith. Alan has other projects in the pipeline including the upcoming feature Without Prejudice starring David Arquette and Execution Game, a sequel to Giordano's The Odds.
Alan also served as an instructor for a TSA Study Hall video workshop on pitch decks which is available to members in the TSA Member Portal.
