TSA Rocked This Year’s Nashville Film Festival!

Writer: TSA NewsroomTSA Newsroom

TSA Members were in the house at the Nashville Film Festival last week, introducing ourselves to other writers & filmmakers at the festival's 'Creators Conference.' We’re happy to report that our efforts resulted in several new members joining TSA and a handful of tickets sold for our Script-Com conference!

But the real stars were TSA’s Melissa Sheridan, Elvis Wilson, Irish Johnston, and Lisa Wright who competed in ‘The Pitch’ - the premiere event at the Creators Conference where writers had two minutes (!) to pitch their story to a panel of industry judges. By all accounts, this was valuable practice for the realities of getting a script made into a movie. Several of our “pitchers” will talk about their experience at this Wednesday’s TSA meeting and we’ve posted a few photos from their adventure on TSA’s Facebook page.

Another salute goes out to TSA members Michael Bentley and Corbin Eaton, who not only screened their film “Inner Demons” at the festival, but hosted TSA’s first on-location video production, taping The Pitch for future episodes of our streaming show Page 2 Screen. A very special congratulations goes out to TSA member MK Kopp, who was unable to attend her film’s premiere at the festival because she was getting married! Congrats on both fronts, MK!

Our thanks to the Nashville Film Festival’s Cat Stewart for helping us make our coverage of The Pitch possible and to the Page 2 Screen production crew - Samantha Burns, Nate Hoffman, Phillip Hullquist, Melissa Sheridan and TSA board member Daniel Spear who directed the shoot.

We're looking forward to participating in next year's fest!
