New TSA Video Looks at Giving & Getting Feedback!

Deciding to share your ideas for a story can be a little scary - especially if you’ve never done it before.

What if people think my idea is bad? What if they think I’m stupid? What if they ask me questions I don’t have answers to yet?

And then there’s the whole issue of being asked to give feedback on someone else’s story:

I’ve only read one or two scripts… what do I know about screenwriting? Am I really qualified to give my opinion on a work-in-progress?

These are all questions we’ve thought about and heard from storytellers. These concerns and fears are normal, but if you don’t think critically and carefully, you’ll never make breakthroughs in your own writing or help your fellow writers solve their problems.

A new video on the TSA’s YouTube channel by author and writing instructor Ley Esses addresses these and other questions. Check it out and learn more about how to organize your thinking and your writing habits and to give you more confidence in giving and receiving productive feedback.
